More Firsts for the Cuenca Chinese Group

This past week was FULL of activity for Cuenca Chinese!  We had the visit of our first ever Chinese Speaking Circuit Overseer.  I mentioned him in a previous blog...the one who's territory is foreign/indigenous language throughout the whole entire country.  He'll be serving (now at least I have my facts straight) English, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Haitian Creole, Chapaala and Shuar - a total of 7!  We were able to spend lots of time with him and his wife being that our group is so small but that was a definite blessing.  The week started with service Wednesday, meeting Wednesday night (Chinese BS, Highlights & School then we had the rest of the meeting in Spanish - since we're only a group we didn't have a service talk given by the C.O.), Service Thursday and Friday, Pioneer Meeting Friday night, Service Saturday morning and then Saturday night a Chinese public talk, abbreviated WT and concluding Chinese talk.  This last meeting started at 8:45 p.m. in order for the Chinese people to close up shop and make it in time so it last until 10 p.m. - I was TOTALLY fried by the end but we were happy to have 4 Chinese people there!

Now as you can already see from the video we have more very exciting news!  One of the Chinese girls gave her first ever student talk - just in time for the C.O. visit.  It was truly heart-warming and a privilege to experience.

Our current group plus a few visitors from the Chinese Congregation in Guayaquil and of the Circuit Overseer and his wife.
