It's been 2 weeks in the new place now and things are good. Here are some pics. I really wanted to post a video but it won't upload. There have been some additions since I took the photos. I now am the proud owner of a second-hand refrigerator and a family in the hall was nice enough to drop a kitchen table with 4 chairs. I also received a much needed toaster oven from a lovely need-greater fam ;) Last night another family was sweet enough to go through their kitchen cupboards, gifting me all kinds of stuff - plates, glasses and pots and pans. And yet another need-greater couple generously bought all kinds of cool little kitchen gadgets - my fave!
The apartment has all new cabinets, floors and a bathroom stuff. I also have a built-in closet in my room.

That machine isn't there anymore...left over from the construction. The bathroom is off to left with another bedroom. My room is off to the right and straight ahead is a "patio" that is kind of like a little courtyard because straight up is a skylight which is where most of the natural light in the place comes from. You can see that both bedrooms have windows facing the patio.

Not much to look at but here's my bedroom

Patio. I want to flowers in front of that window so that's what I see when I open the curtains in my room.

My flowers so far...One of those is a Jasmin plant and smells divine...let's hope I can keep it alive.

Now I'm anxiously awaiting my new roommate, Allison, while plugging along trying to get this place in order before she gets here while still trying to keep to some kind of schedule and have a life at the same time.
Probrecita con ducha electrica!!!!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place!! I'm so happy you're settling in! Miss you chica!! xo
ReplyDeleteHey looks great! I love the patio! You HAVE to have a hammock! LOL
ReplyDeleteDamaris - That Skylight alone could keep your flowers in good shape - what light!! If that little courtyard is a suntrap it could be a microclimate and you could probably grow your own veggies in container pots too...
ReplyDeleteLookin' good. You need to get a nice, potted tomate de arbol plant for the courtyard.
ReplyDeletelooks great damaris!!
